Bell Band and Color Guard Dominate the Field
The Bell Band took first place and the Color Guard took third place at Loara High School Field Tournament against five other high schools on Saturday, October 26.
The Bell Band and Color Guard performed at Glover Stadium in the 2A division. They went up against Lakewood, Rancho Alamitos, Banning (Riverside), Moreno Valley, and Santiago High Schools. Bell took first place in band, third place in color guard, and the sweepstakes trophy in percussion, which is the highest percussion score in all divisions. They performed their new field show titled Unbreakable. The songs included in the show were In Caelum Fero, Zarabanda/Palladio, Cantus-Song of Aeolus, and Adiemus.
“I feel like I did good. I thought I was going to be nervous but I was concentrated and calm,” freshman Cesar Contreas said.
“It was an easy win,” sophomore Christopher Alverado said. This win shows the band is starting off good for the season.
