Spider-Man Swings Back Into Theaters This Christmas

Fans can’t wait for a web-slinging hero to return to theaters with a whole new film this Christmas. He’ll be up against some new foes with old faces, and could encounter some other web crawlers.

No Way Home is looking to be one of the most ambitious superhero films of all time since Avengers: Endgame, not only bringing in Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange, but also having actors return in their respective villain roles from previous Spider-Man films. These include Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin, Alfred Molina’s Doctor Octopus, Jamie Foxx’s Electro, and many more.

“I’ve been excited since the beginning, but since it’s tying into the Multiverse, Doctor Strange, and it’s bringing the past characters from previous Spider-Man movies,” senior Samantha Avelar said.

In every Spider-Man movie, there has been a new villain brought to the big screen, but audiences may have expected to see all these past villains (played by the same actors) coming back to reprise their roles.

“I thought everyone was going to go bananas!” senior Kianna Astorga commented.

“At first, I didn’t believe it, but when the actual trailer came out, I was like WHAT!” Avelar said.

All the reports, leaks and rumors about the casting were accurate. “I just thought it would be him out in the world. I thought that there would be no main villain, and it would just be with people who hate him,” Avelar said.

It might be really refreshing to have a Spider-Man movie with no villain from the comics, and just Peter dealing with regular citizens who hate him. Who knows, maybe a titular blind lawyer could help him in court.

Spider-Man’s trilogy is coming to a close, but his journey doesn’t end here. Sony announced that they will be developing a new trilogy with Tom Holland pretty soon to continue their partnership with Marvel Studios.

During an interview with Fandango, Amy Pascal, the head of Sony Pictures, revealed the future for Spider-Man after No Way Home and their future partnership with Marvel Studios.

“This is not the last that we are going to make with Marvel–[this is not] the last Spider-Man movie,” Pascal said, “We are getting ready to make the next Spider-Man movie with Tom Holland and Marvel. We’re thinking of this as three films, and now we’re going onto the next three. This is not the last of our MCU movies.”

Spider-Man: No Way Home will release exclusively in movie theaters December 17th. Tickets on sale NOW!
