New Video Games Coming Soon
Most teenagers today play video games. So if you like punching or kicking your opponent, or if you like being a half-human, half-demon, or you prefer a fighting game with unique mechanics, then get ready for some new games currently in development involving these types of qualities. Many different games have recently been in production, but some of them have been scheduled to release sooner than others. Here are some upcoming video games releasing soon.
One game that critics have high expectations of is Street Fighter 6. Many people are excited to see this game come out since the last Street Fighter game came out 7 years ago. Street Fighter is a classic fighting game series that people have been playing since the 90’s. According to the trailers released by Capcom, this new game is going to be filled with new mechanics and new characters, along with some old ones like Ryu and Ken. The game releases later this year on June 2, 202
Another game that people are excited about is Tekken 8. Tekken is another fighting game series that has been popular for a very long time. Many people have played the previous Tekken games, so they’re excited to see another game in development. According to the official website https://en.bandainamcoent.eu/, Tekken 8 “pushes the limits of new-gen hardware and technologies.” They also point out that “The Tekken series holds the record for being the longest-running story in a video game franchise. Tekken 8 is set to be released either in late 2023 or early 2024.
A game that is getting lots of attention is the newly announced Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4. Many people are fans of the popular series Dragon Ball and its games. For example, Sophomore Magnet student Marco Trejo said that he is “very happy to see the new game announced.” The main reason everyone is so excited about this game is because there hasn’t been 
a new Budokai Tenkaichi game in 16 years. Based on the recent teaser by Bandai Namco, it looks like the game will have a new form for the main character Goku, along with some new graphics. There isn’t an official release date, but it has been said that the new game will be released in 2024.

I learned about three new games that will be released between 2023 and 2024. The games are action/ fighting type games. I get bored of video games but a game I liked to play was Street Fighter on the OG arcade console.

When reading this article I become so happy when I read that new fighting video games are coming out, with new mechanics, story line, and characters. Thank you for this information and please keep posting stuff like this because I am already hyped for these games coming out next year or this year.

Seven years ago, Capcom released Street Fighter 5 which disappointed many fans. From Street Fighter 4 which revolutionized the fighting game industry which led to many competitors following the same path. As Street Fighter 5 had graphics that were almost downgraded than the previous generation, all the mechanics changed as well. Many continue to play Street Fighter 4 Ultra with its online competitive matchmaking that is alive within the fan-base. Though Street Fighter 6 is hoping to be a better sequel than the last and recent gameplay has proven otherwise. Utilizing the graphic cards present in most modern day consoles and computers, everything is looking much more realistic. But there always have to be controversies, with many of the community arguing it is losing its charm due to it being a much more comical franchise compared to Tekken or Mortal Kombat. I am looking forward to playing the open beta testing that is online right now since classic games such as Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo and Street Fighter Alpha 3 are considered the best games in the long lasting series.
