A child stands tall amidst a crowd of protesters, striking for her, and so many other childrens rights. At Bell, teachers have had up to 50 kids in a classroom. In the past I’ve had as many as 52 students in a class...if the cap is 39, then there are going to be teachers that are not going to have 47, not going to have 50 kids in a room; everyone will have a chair which is kind of important, says Mr. Moreno, AP Physics and Environmental Science teacher.

Rainy weather did not stop teachers from striking.

Bell teachers and staff strike in front of the school. The LAUSD strike resulted in a pay increase for teachers, limits on class sizes and increases in librarian and nurse availability.
