Jeremy ‘Jerma985’ Elbertson is a retired Twitch streamer originally from Boston, Massachusetts. Jerma has been around on the internet for about 13 years, thus building up quite the repertoire of content. Throughout these years not all of his content has been saved, this resulted in some lost media. Lost media being media that no longer exists, being completely lost to the sands of time. As a seasoned Jerma985 viewer, it was surprising to find out that he had lost media, since I’ve always associated that term with films, TV shows, and games. This revelation sent me down a rabbit hole of lost and forgotten Jerma videos and livestreams. Here I’ll be sharing a few of my favorites.
Egg Stream
This lost egg stream was how I found out about Jerma’s lost media in the first place. The background for this stream goes back to a video titled, “TF2: Face Cam Fortress: Live Badwater” where Jerma is playing the hit multiplayer first-person shooter game, Team Fortress 2 (TF2 for short). He states that if he failed to take out a sentry turret in the game, he’d swallow a raw egg. Lo and behold, he fails to take the turret out and says he has no eggs to eat at the moment. He planned to eat them on a stream, where he’d cook a dozen or two hard boiled eggs and eat one every time he died in game. The stream was said to have taken place on February 25, 2012 at 6pm (EST). The stream lasted for about an hour and Jerma ate around 8 eggs in total. This stream would be a joy to watch but sadly it’s lost to time.
The Sneaky Secret Jerma Rumble
Jerma Rumble is a tradition on the Jerma985 channel, but this one is shrouded in mystery. Jerma Rumbles are a king of the hill type of game which consists of around 20-30 characters duking it out on annual releases of the WWE video games. Two fighters start the Rumble and gradually, more characters join the max being six characters in the ring at a time. The Sneaky Secret Jerma Rumble was a Rumble that was hosted on a now defunct video-sharing app called Zynn. This Jerma Rumble was uploaded in a series of bits, because the app only hosted short clips for a small window of time, thus not being able to save any of it. Some of the notable fighters starring in this Rumble are: Jerma 2 (sequel to Jerma), Fredbear, Winston Overwatch, and the ever incredible Glue Man!!
This piece of Jerma lost media is interesting in the fact that a lot of Jerma scholars don’t believe this event to be real at all! The most popular theory is that Jerma had nothing to do with this, even though the person who narrated the event was said to be Jerma. Though the account that uploaded the clips had nothing to do with Jerma, as it was named ‘JungleTim.’ Community members find the timing of this event to be odd because according to Jerma, he was stuck in a hot air balloon when these clips were being released. Jerma himself commented on the incident by fully rejecting any involvement. Many believe this was just a cover-up because an imminent Rumble was disclosed. The legitimacy of The Sneaky Secret Jerma Rumble will forever be brought into question by fans and scholars alike.
Jermanet.com
Jermanet.com was a website owned by Jerma in the years 2005-2006. On this website, Jerma uploaded comedy skits, animations, videos, etc. It also housed some audio clips of his voice acting auditions. Unfortunately, the majority of the website is lost and only small sections of the site have been archived. Even though the website is basically lost and fans may be curious as to what was on jerma-net.com, Jerma may appreciate it if fans didn’t seek out stuff that isn’t already available to them.
