As many Californians are thinking right now, what’s with the weather? Many of us noticed that the weather has been much colder than what we’re used to, which is a lot warmer than our last few weeks. 

First, let me explain what “El nino” and “la nina” climate patterns are. During el nino patterns, the temperature in the northern United States and Canada gets warmer while the more southern states get colder and see more rain. La nina climate patterns will cause the north to be colder and the south to be drier and warmer.

So, now that you know what these patterns are and what they mean, I can tell you about our current and upcoming weather. 2024 spring is an el nino pattern, explaining why its been cold recently. Unfortunately, it looks like la nina pattern is coming for this summer, causing warm weather to come back.
